On my first week of summer i had not much to do. Instead of waching TV i decided to check out 6 books out of the American school library. Yes, it may seems boring to have read all of those books but it was actually fun and intertaining. The first book i got to read was The disreputable History of Frankie Landau- Banks i decided to read this book first because according to me it would be the most bring when in fact it was one of the best. This books is aout this young girl who falls in love with the most popular guy in school who then turns out to be in love with her too. Frankie, the mane character, finds out that her new boyfriend is in a secret, only boys. society. Frankie had heard about it from her father when she was younger and now she had this strong cuiriosity to find out. She becomes an imposter and she changes her identity to a boy´s and she goves them orders through emails. All this turns out to be a disaster at the end.
The second book i read was its not you, its me. This book was not that awsome, but it was cool. This book was about a girls who had just started to fall in love with her boyfriend, when she is dumped by him. ahe is so hurt that she tries to get him back by doing ridiculous things like writing him poems or making him letters or even worse, making a ridiculous in front of hundreds of people. This is a good comedy btw. Then her best frinds make an intervention and a great plan to get him back. At the end, none of these things work.
Week Two
On the second week of my summer i read two books more. The first book i read was models dont eat chocolate cookies. When i fist saw this book i had no idea what to expect. This book look childish but it kind of looked like it would be a good book. Unfortunately it turned out to be a very childish book. I think that the book was not bad but it wasnt good either for a girl my age. The book was about a girl who wanted to be thin just because her mom had signed her into a chubby girls paggeant. She tries to go on a diet so that she will be kicked out ofnthe pageant so that all of her friends in school would not bully her. At the end she understands that there is no reason to be embaressed because people will accept who she is. I really didnt enjoy this book but maybe younger readers would.
The second book i read was Being Nikki Meg Cabot. this book is more about Science Fiction bu it was incredible. this book was really interesting and funny. This book is really hard to explain do that it is really confusing but i will tell you that it is about a brain transplant and how the loves of two people, a normal girl and a super model, change completely and are so exasperated to get their lives back because they had to leave their most important things.
Week Three
On the third week of my vacation i read two books more, and wached two movies. One of the books i read was Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks. This book was incredible!!! It was aboout how two people lose their marriages and think that they wont find love ever again, when they meet each other and fall in love while they are at a motel all by themeselves. Sadly, they wont be able to spend their whole lives together. This book will make you cry, well, i did. The secod book i read was girlfriend material by Melissa Kantor. This was the book i like the most. This book was avout a girls who was forced to go on a vacation with her mother to her best friend´s beach house. When she gets there she is hoping to find her summer true love, but there is one problem. the girl with whome she used to play when she was little, totally hates her which makes it hard for her to have fun. later on she meets a cute and sensitive guy whom she likes and he may like her back.
On the same week i wached two movies. Fiest i wached the movie nights in Rodanthe . I wanted to wach the movie because i wanted to see if it would be betterto wach the real picture. The movie was good, but it was nothing like the book. the secon movie i wached was message in a bottle. This is the motion picture of another one of the books by Nicholas Sparks. i had read the book about 2 months ago so i wanted to see the movie. It was algo good, but nothing like the book. the movie made me cry too but the book was better. I have learned something from waching motion picture made out of books: they dissapoint you!! they are nothing like the book because they change many things and they dont include many things!
Week Four
On the fourth week of my vacation, i read The Guardian by nicholas sparks. This book is one of the best books i have read. The book was about a woman who lost her husband. When her husband dies she recieves two gifts, a dog and a promise that she will be protected her whole life. she finds herself dating again not untill four years later. She meets a guy named richard who turns out to be psyco and is totally obsessed with her, Julie. She starts dating her best frind, Mike. This makes richard mad and decides to make Julies life impossible. The dog that was gifted to her turns out saving her life.
On this same week i got to whach The Prince of Persia . This movie was great. I enjoyed it a lot. The movie was a combination that involved romance combine with adventure! This is a perfect example of real entertainment.
Week Five
On my fifth week of summer, i read a book by Nicholas Sparks, The Last Song. This book i had read before but was interestes in reading it again. This book is defenately in one of my top 5 list of the best books i have read. This book has made me see and realize how your life can be falling apart but you can make things right and have a great life. Ronnie, the main character, is a very stubborn girl and is totally mad with his father for leaving the house and never coming back, except for visits. She is forced to spend summer with his dad at a small town near the beach shore. When she gets there she is incapable of spending time with his dad without fighting os saying rude things to him, but with time she starts noticing that his father is pacient and has no interest in picking up a fight with her. Later on, she meets a sweet handsome guy who changes her life. She spends great deal of time with him and do different activities which involved fishing and taking care of a turtle nest. this book ends tragically by ending the life of one of the main caharcters (i preffer not mentioning the character for future readers of this book). In my opinion this book is a perfect book for teenage readers because of the wonderful story and the message that is implimented throughout the book.
Week Six
I personally think that the best movie i have ever seen from the twilight saga would be Eclipse. When i read the book it wasnt that great, but it was good. The movie on the other hand, was amazing! i think that this has been the movie that has come closest to the book and it had a lot of action and comedy. the movie kept my attention at all time and when i wached it with my friends it made me enjoy it even more. Just in case any one hasnt seen it i will give you a little preview. This movie is about a couple who si in love, Edward and Bella, but they encounter a negative side to their relationship, Edward is a vampire and bella is a human so Bella is begging Edward to make her a vampire. This movie is mainly about how Edward and Jacob are fighting for Bella´s heart, but bella finds herself confused about who she loves. The main problem in this movie is that villan vampire, Victoria makes a new born army to kill the Cullen family and Bella for revenge of making her lose is partner James.
Week Seven
On the seventh week of vacations i have been very very bored. Do that is is one of the last weeks i have almost nothing to do, so i decided to go to a movie rental and wach Leap Year. This movie was hilariouse. It made me lauphe like never before. This movie is a about a woman who is desprate for her boyfriend to ask her to marry, so she finds out that there is an irish tradition in which the girl has the oportunity to ask their boyfriend to ask for marriage. She decides to go to ireland and look for her boyfriend who is on a buisness trip and ask him to marry her. She had scheduled to get there on an airplane but her plane is canceled do to the weather so she is forced to find another form of transportation to get there, eventhough it doesnt turn out that well. She gets to a mini hotel where she tries to find a taxi but it turns out to be the same hotel owner who is acording to her "annoying and immature", but throughout their disastreous trip they find themeselves beginning to feel some sort of affection for each other. So when she finally gets to her boyfriend he decides to prupose to her and they wwould get marrued, but when she gets back to new york she realizes that he doesnt love her as much as she did, she calls off the wedding and goes back to ireland and gets engaged and is going to marry the guy who was there for her the whole disastreous journey.
Week Eight
So, i just found out that i only have a week or so before a go into school! Its not that ots bad but, i love to stay home and do stuff i like and not algebra os someting as complicated as making a water gun in science class. As I wait till school starts i take advantage of the time left i have and go out with my friends and go make the last shoppings or read my last book before i dont have enouph time to read anymore because i have lots of homework to do and zillions of projects to starts and finish! I decided to read as my last book "true believer" a book by Nicolas Sparks. I have just started to read the boook and from what i know i can tell you that there is this man who is a journalist who writes about wierd stuff so he hears about this place where there is a cemetary where you can see the appearance of goast and decides to go. What i have read from the back of the book is that this guy decide to go to the cemetary and make the colomn but he has no idea that he will fall in love with the person who know who or what the goasts are. I, was dumb enough not to know that the book "At first sight" by nicholas sparks is the continuation of this very book. Saldy i read it before i read this book so i technically know how this book ends and what happens later but i decided to read it anyways and find out how good the book is.
